Ozark Folk Center

Ozark Folk Center

Located in Mountain View, this is a major attraction in the state of Arkansas. It showcases traditional Ozarks arts and crafts complete with demonstrations and classes. There is a theater that features traditional music by world class country musicians. This is a must-see state park.

Loco Ropes

Treetop adventure park at Ozark Folk Center offers a "tree top adventure course incorporating more than 30 different rope challenges including rope bridges, obstacle courses, and different climbs. See website for details.

Blanchard Springs Caverns

Blanchard Springs Caverns

The caverns are a three-level cave system, two are open to the public. The caverns are a part of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest. The cave features many different tours all year long, from guided tours for everyone, to wild cave tours.

Mountain View music festival

Mountain View

Known as the folk music capital of the world. It is home to many world-class musicians. There are many music venues. The most famous of these is Jimmy Driftwood's, named after a famous folk singer who lived in Mountain Home. Visit the downtown area to shop for antiques, fine art, musical instruments and crafts. There are many places to eat.

Rush, abandoned mining town

Rush

The abandoned mining town of Rush is a major tourist destination in the Lower Buffalo River area. It is complete with old abandoned buildings and hiking trails that explore the areas around the mines. Rush is also a good birding area and the river fishing is good for smallmouth bass.
